Application Opens: October 31, 2025

If you’ve ever dreamed of breaking barriers, inventing solutions, or building technology that changes lives, this is your moment. The WAAW Foundation 2025/2026 Undergraduate Scholarship is now open to female students across Africa pursuing (or aspiring to pursue) degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

At WAAW Foundation (Working to Advance STEM Education for African Women), we believe that every girl with a vision deserves the chance to turn it into impact, not just for herself, but for her community and the continent at large.

About the Scholarship

The WAAW Foundation Scholarship empowers young African women in STEM by providing financial assistance, mentorship, and leadership training. Recipients don’t just receive tuition support, they become part of a pan-African community of women innovators driving change through science and technology.

Each selected scholar receives a $500 award (in local currency equivalent) and gains access to mentorship, professional growth opportunities, and community impact programs through WAAW’s outreach initiatives and campus STEM Chapters.

Why WAAW? A Legacy of Impact

Over the years, WAAW Foundation has awarded more than 91 scholarships to African women studying STEM at top universities,  but our work goes far beyond funding.
