Phyllis Wanjiku is a data-driven technology student at Kibabii University who describes building her very first webpage as discovering a “canvas of endless magic.” Recognizing a profound technical isolation among female peers on her campus and within her broader community, Phyllis formulated a distinct vision and founded SHECODES/TECH, an active campus organization dedicated to training young women in practical full-stack web development and data analytics. As a WAAW Scholar, she is mastering complex programming structures to build responsive web applications, aiming to use her agency to expand tech-literacy hubs that empower young Kenyan girls to solve real-world problems through clean code.
