Ng’andwe Chabala is a design-focused mechanical engineering student in Zambia who views structural mechanics as an anchor for regional development. Her profound commitment to civic leadership led her to spend over a year volunteering full-time with Restless Development under the Tikambe Project, where she managed community-level campaigns centered on youth health, digital literacy, and socio-economic empowerment. Having completed rigorous industrial internships, Ng’andwe excels at translating mechanical blueprints into real-world applications. As a WAAW Scholar, she plans to deploy her engineering skills to design and implement highly sustainable, localized solutions for clean water access, renewable energy grids, and critical community infrastructure across Zambia.
