Imanishimwe Emerance is a civil construction student whose engineering philosophy is grounded in a deep personal mandate to serve society. Emboldened by a supportive network of family and community, Emerance treats construction sites as places where human lives can be fundamentally improved through structural integrity. Her proudest communal milestones involve volunteering on infrastructural assessments to map safe shared spaces. As a WAAW Scholar, she aims to master the complexities of sustainable civil engineering, designing and overseeing structural systems that optimize transport networks and community housing while actively mentoring upcoming female engineers to claim space in construction management.
