Defying rigid gender barriers within the heavy-industry sector, Hamdia has simultaneously maintained rigorous academic standards while building and executing a profitable small business from scratch to anchor her financial independence. She channels her practical commercial experience back into her engineering methodologies, treating structural problems with entrepreneurial efficiency. As a WAAW Scholar, her goal is to step into the industrial landscape as an elite STEM professional, utilizing complex mechanical systems to optimize local manufacturing processes while creating technical development opportunities for young girls across Ghana.
