Chemutai Joan is a dedicated second-year education student at Busitema University, driven by a foundational mission to break down stereotypes surrounding the complexity of hard sciences for young girls. Throughout her academic journey, Joan consistently shattered benchmarks, graduating as the absolute best academic student at her O-Level school and emerging as the top science student during her A-Levels with an impressive 13 points. Beyond her individual excellence, she stepped into systemic leadership early on, serving as the Secretary for Educate! Uganda within her former school and transitioning into an active graduate member in 2022. As a WAAW Scholar, Joan is preparing for a career as an elite Physics and Mathematics teacher, intending to build highly engaging, tech-integrated, and interactive learning environments that inspire the next generation of Ugandan girls to confidently pursue STEM fields.
