Antoinnette Sefakor Dugbley is navigating an undergraduate Computer Science degree at the University of Cape Coast with an operational focus on software engineering, network infrastructure, and physical hardware. Witnessing deep-seated gender stereotypes that convinced young girls in her community that technology was strictly a “boys’ club,” Antoinnette took personal responsibility to rewrite the narrative. Rallying her peers and drawing from her experience with the tech4drive initiative, she founded a weekly STEM mentorship program for junior secondary school girls to completely break down cultural barriers. Through the financial cushion and leadership network of the WAAW Foundation, she plans to maintain top-tier grades, secure technical development internships, and structurally scale her advocacy workshops across more regional schools.
