Shahd Albasim
Shahd Albasim, a 22-year-old Sudanese electrical engineering student in her fourth year, is deeply committed to democratizing youth career opportunities. As a content manager at iDixcover Organization, she ensures Sudanese youth have access to empowerment and employment prospects. Simultaneously, Shahd serves as a project manager at ZAHARA for Education Initiative, working on projects to empower Sudanese youth and expand the initiative’s impact.
Shahd’s dedication led to her acceptance into the YALI Regional Leadership Training, where she collaborates within the Yali community to shape a better future for Africa. Notably, she became the youngest female admin assistant intern at UN WFP Sudan, aspiring to contribute to the United Nations’ mission and achieve the 2023 Sustainable Development Goals, especially focusing on Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
