Olanma Loveth Imo
Chief Operating Officer
Loveth joined WAAW Foundation in 2012 and has served as a volunteer, counselor and recently as STEM camp director. She leads the planning and organization of several WAAW programs including residential camps, teacher training, after-school programs and national STEM competitions for secondary girls. Loveth led the marketing efforts at WAAW foundation until 2016 when she took over as the Business Development Manager. She excels in program development, organizational and strategic planning, partnership building and fundraising. In June 2018, she was promoted to the position of Chief Operating officer having significantly increased the organization’s database, Designing and implementing business operations and Overseeing operations of the company and the work of executives. She completed the Mathematics for Sub-saharan African (MS4SSA) Program on teaching with technologies at Worcester Polytechnic Insitute, MA, USA. She manages the WAAW Foundation office in Abuja, Nigeria. Loveth graduated with honors in Geology and Mining (BSC) from The Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria. She is an avid reader and enjoys networking.

Faith Maduka
Admin Executive
Faith is a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Statistics. Faith volunteered with Mercy Corp as a Peer Educator under the Educating Nigerian Girls in New Enterprises (ENGINE) Program in Gombe State where she ensured in-school girls successfully transition to the next phase of their education while the out-school girls have the opportunity to build their functional literacy and numeracy skills, amongst others.
She joined WAAW Foundation in 2019 as an Admin Associate, responsible for the smooth running of all operations and programs. She is passionate about using data to solve problems, and helping organizations perform a smooth operation of their activities. She is also a voracious reader.

Lucy Ikpesu-Ewhubare
Programs Director
Lucy holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Delta State University, Nigeria. She joined WAAW foundation in 2014 as a fellow at Delta State University chapter involved in establishing the College-to-Secondary school Outreach in her University where girls were tutored and mentored on STEM Education. She also participated at the She Hacks Africa 3 weeks boot camp at Abuja, Nigeria in January 2017 where she learned was trained on Software Development. Lucy serves in WAAW Foundation as the STEM Trainer were she is responsible for facilitating training courses on STEM, computer programming and web development during training and workshops. She is also responsible for creating and updating curriculum. She re-engineered WAAW wind energy kit. She is a graduate of MASHAV Israel and where she completed an international professional course on STEM. Lucy is an advocate for STEM education and Girl-Child. She is involved in inspiring and motivating youth especially young Adolescent girls.

Jonah Onah
Program Manager
Jonah is a freelance frontend developer and a graduate of B. Agric soil science from the University of Agriculture, Makurdi. He is the founder of Xando Nigeria – a company he started in January 2016 that seeks to improve the business culture and tech adoption in central Nigeria through training and venture buildings. His passion for technology drove him into taking roles in Fintech, Management consulting, and research. Jonah has served as a project manager at Simplepay, a payment solutions company with a merchant base of over 6,000 merchants. He had also served as a research assistant and ICT supervisor in Fortis projects and absolute consultancy. He loves learning new technology, singing, and traveling.

Susan Odere
Program Manager
Susan holds a B.Sc in Computer Science from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. She is a certified Professional Project Manager, a Digital Marketing Strategist, a techovation mentor, and is a Graphics Designer par excellence. Susan is an alumnus of She Hacks Africa Coding Bootcamp where she became certified in front-end and back-end programming, she is also an alumnus of Data Science Nigeria. She is passionate about educating and encouraging more females to take on the Tech field.
She is also very passionate about reforming the way STEM-related subjects are taught in schools and ensuring more value is placed on the teaching profession in Nigeria.
Susan joined WAAW Foundation as a Digital Marketer/Graphic Designer.
Susan is a Data Science and UI/UX enthusiast. She loves technology, designing, teaching, public speaking, cooking, and reading.

Inyene Etoedia
Social Media/Graphics Design Manager
Etoedia Inyene is a graduate of the University of Lagos where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in urban and regional planning. He worked in the Federal Capital Development Authority as a site coordinator.
He is a product of the WAAW Foundation She Hacks Africa Coding Boot Camp. He is an enthusiast of motion graphics. Inyene joined WAAW Foundation as a Social media Manager for She Hacks Africa. He loves to read play video games and basketball.

Ozzy Ajibade

Ozzy Ajibade

Ozzy has over 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. She is the Onshore assets petroleum Engineering Team Lead at Chevron Nigeria. In this role, she manages a team of engineers that oversees and develops the Onshore assets operated by Chevron across Nigeria. She has successfully executed the drilling campaign lasting over 2 years working with multi-stakeholders increasing the production from those assets. Prior to this role, she led a cross-functional team of earth scientists and engineers that managed a deep water non-operated asset for Chevron Nigeria. She has also led Petroleum Engineering and Earth science technical teams executing Tight Oil development programs in the midland basin in Texas US, Tight gas development in the Four corners area in New Mexico and Colorado USA.
Ozzy has also worked as a planning advisor helping to facilitate the management of a budget of almost $1B for developing Chevron assets in the Lower 48 US states. In this role, her key reporting line was to the Asset Development General Manager of the business unit and proposed recommendations to ensure budgets were managed effectively and the highest value projects were funded, delivering production and optimum recovery. She began her career working as a field engineer, working in the Gulf of Mexico for Schlumberger in Houston Texas before moving on to a project engineer role in Sugarland Texas.
Ozzy received her undergraduate degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Benin, Nigeria graduating at the top of her class with a first-class (summa cum Laude) in 1999. She obtained her master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston in 2005. During which she completed Internships with Exxon Mobil. She has also completed Leadership training in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.
She is a passionate voice for female empowerment and talent development within the Oil Industry, founding the Lagos Chapter of the Petro Tech Special Interest Group (SIG) under the Chevron Women's Network with a key focus on growing the core competencies and capabilities of women in Petro-tech functions, facilitating networking and improving career opportunities to help them deliver results for themselves and the company. She also serves as the Chair Person, leading the board of directors for WAAW Foundation.
A member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Serves on the Board of Trustees task force for SPE Nigeria focused on education, ensuring that university faculty deliver relevant curricula, leveraging established centers of excellence, and facilitating industry/academia knowledge transfer and sharing.
Ozzy is married and a mother of 3 children, two daughters, and a son, she is passionate about empowering the next generation by introducing STEM education and careers to children at a young age and especially to girls.

Dr. Okorafor is the founder and Chief Executive of WAAW Foundation. Born in Nigeria, she received her undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lagos in 1998. She obtained the M.Sc. degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas, and her Ph.D. at Texas A & M University, College Station, Texas both in Electrical and Computer Engineering. She is a graduate of INSEAD’s Social Entrepreneurship program and attended Stanford Business School’s Executive Program in Social Entrepreneurship.
Her industry experience includes Tech Lead, Education Technology Division at Texas Instruments, Dallas Texas. She has worked at Intel, HP, and IBM research labs. Dr. Okorafor is a member of IEEE, ACM, SWE, and NSBE and was a recipient of the Sloan Foundation Fellowship, the AAUW Engineering Dissertation Fellowship, and the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Fellowship for promoting STEM education. She is a visiting professor at the African University of Science & Technology (AUST) Abuja Nigeria where she teaches Computer Science courses.
She has been a speaker & thought leader at several events including SXSW, WISE Conference, Women’s Forum, and Ashoka Foundation Changemakers. She is a 2010 Crans Montana "Future World leader". Unoma was a recipient of the 2013 Anita Borg Social Change Agent Award and was the 2016 winner of the GEM Tech Awards from ITU and UN Women. She has authored several international journal & conference papers.
Her industry experience includes software developer and team lead at the Education Technology Division at Texas Instruments, Dallas Texas. She has worked at Intel, HP, and IBM research lab. Dr. Okorafor is a member of IEEE, ACM, SWE, NSBE, and SPIE and has been the recipient of the Sloan Foundation Fellowship. the AAUW Engineering Dissertation Fellowship and the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Fellowship for promoting STEM education. She is a partner at Herbal Papaya LLC and Radicube Technologies - a big data analytics company. Dr. Okorafor acts as a visiting professor at the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja Nigeria where she regularly teaches courses at the Computer Science department.

Ebele Agu

Ebele Agu
Vice President
Ebele is a School Administrator (Dean of Instruction) in the Grand Prairie school district in Texas and the Vice President of WAAW Foundation. She was born in Kano, Nigeria, and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She is a PRINCE 2 Project Management Foundation expert and a Thomas International System Certified User. She has a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas in Arlington and a Leadership Certificate from Rice University. She is an Apple Teacher, a NearPod Certified Teacher, and a NearPod Distance Learning Expert. She was a presenter at the Advancing Improvement in Education (AIE) conference in Oct 2019.
Ebele has worked as a Management Consultant/Trainer at Phillips Consulting Lagos, Nigeria, her area of training specialization was in Leadership/Management and Interpersonal Skills, focusing on the Behavioral and Psychometric aspects of learning interventions.
She started her teaching career as a Special Education teacher. She has mentored and coached teachers in various capacities. TechEd is one of her passions as she believes in the importance of integrating technology to enhance student learning. Ebele has taught a diverse group of students in several Texas schools where she has mentored children from low socio-economic backgrounds with a passion to ensure the success of their education. She has extensive experience in the areas of intensive individualized instruction, project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and EdTech tools, amongst others.

Abi Adeoti

Abi is a finance executive with nearly 25 years of proven leadership experience in finance and strategic management at major IT companies. As Senior Finance Director at Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, California, where he is responsible for leading the company’s NTG business unit’s global financial planning & analysis. He served as a key cross-functional business partner to both the business unit and functional leaders. He has extensive FP&A experience leading end-to-end P&L activities directly and at a group level across worldwide and regional business units. He has managed in small start-up and large environments with the direct financial responsibility of more than $3 billion in revenue, and 11,000 people.
Before joining Intel, in June 2015, he has spent years working in Finance and Accounting executive leadership positions at companies like Jawbone, Deem, Intuit, Microsoft, and HP. His extensive global executive experience includes founder and Chief Executive of Waltan Corporation, a global outsourcing consulting firm headquartered in Silicon Valley.
Abi is an avid soccer player, world traveler, and proudly Nigerian. He grew up and attended high school in Lagos, Nigeria before migrating to the US for college. He has a special interest in empowering African Youths through education and mentorship. He graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu with an MBA and a BS degree in Accounting from Cal State University, Hayward.

Dr. Chijioke Okoro is an Independent Consultant and a Health Policy and Health Systems Expert. He received his Ph.D. in 2017 from the Boston University, USA, an MSc in Social Work and a BSc in Microbiology both from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Chijioke was a recipient of the prestigious Hubert Humphrey Fellowship in 2008, a program he completed at Emory University, Atlanta. He has extensive experience working as Technical Advisor, Project Manager, Consultant, and Researcher. His expertise is in the areas of strategic planning, project management, policy analysis, and program evaluation. He started his career as a technical officer with Nigeria Youth AIDS Program, Lagos, supporting the implementation of HIV/AIDS and reproductive health programs in special populations including school children, women, religious institutions, and youth living in the urban slums of Lagos Nigeria. He worked as a Public Health Analyst with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Atlanta. In this capacity, he was responsible for the technical coordination of studies to evaluate the impact of rapid HIV scale-up on the Health System of low-income countries where US-sponsored PEPFAR was being implemented. In Nigeria, he has successfully led state teams in a multi-stakeholder effort to build government capacity for a multi-sectoral response to HIV/AIDS. Chijioke has extensive experience with NGOs and was the founder and pioneer program coordinator of the Health and Community Development (HECOD) Initiative. He is committed to replicating the “can do” spirit in WAAW, in the heart of every girl in Africa.

Nwamaka Okoye is the CEO and Founder of Housessories - a privately-owned company engaged in the designing, manufacturing, and
marketing of premium space solutions. They are dedicated to creating perfect solutions for personal, office, and commercial spaces. She has over ten years of experience in boutique advertising & design agency backgrounds, Nwamaka has worked on interior projects in the US, UK, and Nigeria. She is the winner of the
Federal Government of Nigeria Merit Award, Matrix Design Team Award (finalist), Hunter Fan
Design Competition Award (finalist). Nwamaka has a BSc. Architecture from the University of
Nigeria, A Masters Degree in Illustration and Multimedia from East Tennessee State University,
as well as Graduate Studies in Interior Design at the Savannah College of Art & Design, Georgia
State. She also has a project management certification.
She is a strategic thinker and is passionate about people development, enjoys working with
team members to nudge out their full potential, believes in questioning the status-quo, thrives in
challenging environments, and can create systems and processes or revise them where they are needed. She also has excellent writing skills, is passionate about ethics, a change agent, and a
starter.

Juliet Kego Ume-Onyido is a Poet-Philanthropist, International Speaker, and Master-Certified Leadership Consultant, Trainer, and Strategic Interventionist. A passionate advocate for African Women in Leadership and Governance; Quality, Adaptive & Affordable Public School Education; Child Rights, and Environmental Sustainability, she is the co-founder of Whole Woman Network — an Empowerment, Advocacy, and Leadership Social Enterprise hub focused on connecting and raising a new generation of Transformational, Ethical and Creative African women and youth leaders, both in Nigeria and the diaspora.
She is the visionary behind the S.E.R.V.E Volunteer Initiative in South East, Nigeria, Poetry4changeAfrica, and FLOW; financial literacy for women. Juliet is the program partner and co-ordinator for EducateAGirl Nigeria – an award-winning program developed by Dawood Global Foundation (DGF) Pakistan and LADIESFUND® Canada.
Her educational background and professional experiences span multi-disciplinary fields and roles: Engineering, International Business, Gender Studies, Project Management & Consulting, and Wealth Management & Financial Advisory. She has worked and consulted for Honeywell Group, American Express, Emex Systems, MIS Systems, Edward Jones Investments, Koryo Ltd.
She is a social entrepreneur and life-long learner, with diverse interests and holdings in Real Estate, International Trade, Derivatives, Micro-finance lending; she sits on the Advisory and Executive Boards of several organizations in Nigeria, the USA, and Canada, including Sustainable Waste Recycling Community of Nigeria (SWRC) and Environ Focus Inc., Canada.
A self-described life connoisseur and angel investor, Her award-winning poem –“Today, I will not bow” has been translated into over 30 languages and performed globally, to raise awareness about gender issues. She donates all proceeds from her personal Floetry performance and auctions are donated towards scholarships and grants for African girls living in rural and under-served communities.

Frances Van Sloun

Frances served as the Operations Director at WAAW Foundation from 2014 - 2017 and now sits on the board of directors. She received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is currently the director for the Children’s STEM museum in Minneapolis Minnesota. Frances has experience working for many camps in Minnesota, including STEPS Camp (Science Technology Engineering Preview Summer Camp) at the University of St. Thomas, and Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Finland, MN where she served as Assistant Director for three years. In January 2011, she went on her first trip to Africa to help install a small solar power grid to provide lighting for a friend’s home village in Ntungamo District, Uganda. Having a great love for the people and culture of Africa, she is excited to be a part of the WAAW Foundation team.
