You are currently viewing WHAT IS UI/UX DESIGN ?

It goes without saying that in today’s world everything is moving into a digital platform to offer services, products, education, and whatnot. While most of the customers are obtained on an online store or a digital platform it has become a necessity to provide the best experience for this customer to obtain the best ROI. To offer the best experience to users on any mobile application or website companies turn towards User interface (UI) and User Experience Design (UX). UI and UX are the most confusing terms, well let’s make it easy for you to understand

User interface – UI for short – includes individual screens, pages, subpages, buttons, and other visual elements that help users to communicate with the device or application. It is all about making the presentation of your application/website very attractive and also focuses on the interactivity of the application. UI designers focus on designing easy-to-navigate and visually attractive software for all types of devices (PC, tablet, mobile). They ensure that it is easy for users to identify every element’s role & function and to get where they want on a website or in an application.

User experience – UX for short – represents the user’s overall experience with any application (mobile, desktop, etc…) that must be tailored to the target audience. The goal is to get a visitor/user from point A to point B in a simple process. When a customer uses your product, you want to get him to use it again and recommend it to his friends. What is most important is to understand why users use your application and what they want from it or what they need to do. The aim is to ensure that the customer journey will be as simple as possible and intuitive for users/customers.

In today’s fast-paced society, the most successful websites/applications are those that respond quickly and efficiently. Design and software are now heavily based on user experience because it has become all about the consumer. If your website takes fifteen seconds longer to find a specific product as compared to your competitor’s site, you can be assured that it will show in the reports. Oftentimes, users search the web in the essence of knowing generally what they want to find. Even if they are simply browsing, it is up to you and your UI/UX designers to navigate them through your site in the most efficient way possible so they can get the product or service they need.
