WAAW Foundation Supports 19 Outstanding Undergraduate Girls Studying STEM Disciplines in Colleges Across Africa.
They have been selected from a pool of over 1,600 applications by an independent academic panel. The scholarship supports underprivileged girls such as orphans, or girls from low-income families who demonstrate proven financial need while studying a STEM-related degree course. Scholars are mentored to become college-to-secondary STEM advocates, leaders and change agents, who give back to their communities and promote technology innovation for problem-solving. WAAW Foundation has supported 93 students from 23 African countries since the creation of this scholarship in 2007.
