The first African Ladies Day Fundraiser sponsored by WAAW Foundation will be held on Friday, October 22nd, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 7800 Alpha Road, Dallas, TX 75251.
Join WAAW Foundation in celebrating the dignity and strength of African women. Come and learn more about WAAW's vision to eradicate poverty in Africa by engaging women leaders who can exercise their right to contribute to social and economic growth of Africa. The focus of this event is to raise funds in order to launch our STEM Girls Camp initiative in 2011. We will also highlight some of our current activities and will be looking ahead at our future projects.
The African Ladies Day fundraiser will galvanize our friends and participants around the theme of the African lady and her 3S - Her Strengths, Her Struggles and Her Show. The evening will be an exciting time of networking and fun with featured events including a debut African fashion show, red carpet, wine tasting (with wines from South Africa), authentic African cuisine, live cultural artistes, music by D.J. Mighty Mike, and much more. Prizes will be given for the evening's best dressed and best head gear. There will also be a silent auction for fabulous items such as a two night stay at the hotel.
If you will be in Dallas in October, be sure to mark the date and get ready for fun!
