The focus of this event is to raise funds in order to launch our STEM Girls Camp initiative in 2011. 02Girls STEM Camp
WAAW Foundation is gearing up to launch its Girls STEM Camp initiative which will target African girls who are 12-15 years old. Our first camp is planned for early 2011 in Abuja, in partnership with the African University of Science and Technology in Abuja, Nigeria.

03Stop Western Aid to Africa - Build up Entrepreneurship
Recently, there has been an increased call to stop Western aid to Africa. With the 2010 World Cup taking place in South Africa, more light is being shed the continent's economic growth.
According to Naspers Chief Executive Koos Bekker, the best way to ensure entrepreneurship in the continent is to cut off Western aid, ending the begging bowl mentality common to certain African nations. Economist and author Dambisa Moyo echoes the same sentiment. According to Moyo, aid does not equal tangible evidence of sustainable long-term growth. Instead of foreign aid, Moyo asserts that Africans need trade and training.
