Welcome to WAAW foundation Careers Section. Given the nature of the services provided by WAAW foundation, we need outstanding individuals who are passionate about Africa and issues pertaining to the education of African woman, and can demonstrate a commitment to their educational and social development. WAAW foundation recruits volunteers and interns for various positions. Most of our people work remotely but we welcome volunteers and interns who would like to engage with us at our Dallas, Texas location.

We have the following open volunteer positions:

BENEFITS OF VOLUNTEERING

WAAW Foundation offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience working with a social enterprise promoting STEM education for African girls. We can often accommodate volunteers working remotely through regular e-mail and phone communications, but also welcome volunteers and interns who would like to engage with us locally.

Some of the benefits of interning at WAAW Foundation include:

Evaluations given in the middle and at the end of the internship.

Possibility to visit site of operations or conduct follow-up internship in Africa.

Areas of need include:


- Fund raising & drive for donation items e.g. airlines, etc
- Social Media drive
- Marketing to increase awereness, website hits, etc.
- Website Development
- Event Planning for fund raiser events
- Legal support, including filling forms with IRS, etc.
- Technical support including website maintenance
- Volunteer recruitment and management
- Grant writing
- Report writing (e.g. annual report, minutes e.t.c)
- Media interface
- STEM Camp Program planning and coordination including curriculum development,
- Program management
- Financial support and accounting
- Communications
