*YOU MUST COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION IN ONE SITTING. READ INSTRUCTIONS TO KNOW WHAT MATERIALS TO GATHER BEFORE YOU LOGIN AND BEGIN THE APPLICATION PROCESS.
** Make sure your application is complete upon submission. The Admissions Committee can only consider a candidate once all supporting materials including transcripts and references have been received. This application can ONLY be completed online and submitted electronically once you have answered all required questions. We will not accept paper applications this year.
**You have to complete the online application in one sitting. You cannot log back in to update your application. Once you have submitted an application, you may not submit another one.
Please do not begin the application until you have all the required materials ready to enter, copy and paste, or upload. To navigate through the system, please use the navigational links located on the bottom left and bottom right of your screen. Once you have completed the application forms to your satisfaction, sign the "Truth statement", and submit your application by clicking the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.
Gather all required material before you begin the application. You can only complete an application in one sitting. Required Materials before you begin the online application may include the following:
1. Personal Information: Give your full name as it appears on your passport. When inserting your telephone numbers, use only numeric digits, starting with the country code.
2. Academic Background: List all academic institutions currently or previously attended (University and Secondary only) starting with undergraduate degree or equivalent, in reverse chronological order, from the most recent school attended or currently attending. Enter details of Certificates or Qualifications’ obtained as appropriate. If you have personal copies of your transcripts, please scan them before you begin the application. You may want to upload them at this time. NOTE that you MUST request your current or last academic institution to mail a copy of your latest transcript DIRECTLY TO WAAW FOUNDATION.
3. Essays: Below are the three essays you are required to write and submit. Please prepare your essay before you begin the application. NOTE that you may prefer to upload a word, txt or pdf file containing your response *INSTEAD of typing/pasting into the text area provided.
4. Employment and Work Experience (if any): Insert details of substantive employment only, in reverse chronological order. It is not necessary to give details of casual employment.
5. Awards, Fellowships and Extra curricular activities: Provide information on awards, scholarships/fellowships and relevant extra curricular activities you have been involved with, including dates. Provide information that will give the education committee insight to your community involvment, leadership and team building qualities. You may leave some fields blank if not applicable.
6. References: Provide information on at least two academic advisors, professors or mentors that may act as references for you including *email, phone and contact address. An email will be sent to your references, and they will be required to login and fill out an online reference form on your behalf. *NOTE that Reference letters must be received by January 30, 2010. Letters of reference arriving after this date will not be taken into consideration and the applicant’s file will be removed from the selection process. We do not accept paper references. All reference letters must be electronically submitted through our application system. ** Please note a family member or friend CANNOT serve as a referee. Your referee must be a supervisor or academic mentor.
8. Transcripts: If you have a copy of your transcript please follow the tab at the bottom of the appropriate ‘Institution’ section to upload the scanned transcripts for the degree being described. If you have not yet completed this degree we will require interim transcripts of the results you have achieved thus far. YOU WILL STILL NEED TO ASK YOUR SCHOOL TO SEND YOUR TRANSCRIPT DIRECTLY TO WAAW FOUNDATION. ***OUR ONLINE SYSTEM IS BROKEN, PLEASE MAIL YOUR TRANSCRIPTS TO

9. Check Your Application: When you have completed your application, you may use the back button to check your application before you submit. We recommend that you carefully review all pages of your application to verify that the information is accurate before submission.
10. When you are ready to submit, please read and check the TRUTH STATEMENT and then hit the submit button to submit your application. ONCE SUBMITTED, you CANNOT go back to edit your application.
