Tolulope Owajoba-Adeyemo

Acting Executive Director

Tolulope joined WAAW foundation in 2013 and currently serve as the African program director and Acting Executive director. She is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where she bagged a B.Sc in Microbiology. Prior to joining WAAW Foundation, Tolu worked as a Corporate Communications Officer for Oando Marketing Plc, an oil company based in Nigeria. She is also a graduate of INSEAD social entrepreneurship programme. Tolu has extensive hands on experience in program planning and management, project management, long term strategy planning, marketing and branding, corporate communications, and fund raising. She is directly responsible for overseeing and coordinating all WAAW Foundation day-to-day programs in Africa and leads the WAAW Foundation team to execute its objectives. She also drives the fund raising initiative and represents WAAW with various stake holders. She is a member of the board of directors. Tolu is married and enjoys spending time with her young son. She is also an avid fashion designer and enjoys jewelry and bead making.


Loveth Ubi

Chief Operating Officer

Loveth joined WAAW Foundation in 2012 and has served as a volunteer, counselor and recently as STEM camp director. She leads the planning and organization of several WAAW programs including residential camps, teacher training, after-school programs and national STEM competitions for secondary girls. Loveth led the marketing efforts at WAAW foundation until 2016 when she took over as the Business Development Manager. She excels in program development, organizational and strategy planning, partnership building and fundraising. In June 2018, she was promoted to the position of Chief Operating officer having significantly increased the organization’s database, Designing and implementing business operations and Overseeing operations of the company and the work of executives.  She completed the Mathematics for Sub-saharan African (MS4SSA) Program on teaching with technologies at Worcester Polytechnic Insitute, MA, USA. She manages the WAAW Foundation office in Abuja, Nigeria.  Loveth graduated with honors in Geology and Mining (BSC) from The Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria. She is an avid reader and enjoys networking.


Arefo Isabu

Admin & Finance Manager

Arefo is a graduate of Business Administration from the University of Lagos. She has pre-requisite experience in Credit RISK Management/Evaluation/Underwriting majorly in Personal loans, Small and Medium Enterprises and Commercial Business having worked with notable Financial Institutions in Nigeria i.e. Stanbic IBTC Bank.

She joined WAAW foundation in 2018 as the Finance,Admin and Operations Manager and she will be responsible for developing and implementing strategy to improve internal operations at WAAW Foundation as well as manage fundraising, grant writing and donor activities, drive partnership, support staff and board operations and to streamline processes and procedures, manage overall finance strategy accounting and audits.


people-6Barrister Nnanna Obasi Oru

Legal Counsel

Barrister Nnanna Obasi is the legal consultant to WAAW Foundation and has served as legal counsel to several non profit organizations in Africa including the Kenneth Kauda Children of Africa organization. He studied Law at the University of Calabar, Nigeria and has previously worked as a Math and Science teacher before returning to practice law full time. Lucy Ikpesu-Ewhubare

Program Manager & STEM Trainer

Lucy holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Delta State University, Nigeria. She joined WAAW foundation in 2014 as a fellow at Delta State University chapter involved in establishing the College-to-Secondary school Outreach in her University where girls were tutored and mentored on STEM Education. She also participated at the She Hacks Africa 3 weeks boot camp at Abuja, Nigeria in January 2017 where she learned was trained on Software Development. Lucy serves in WAAW Foundation as the STEM Trainer were she is responsible for facilitating training courses on STEM, computer programming and web development during training and workshops. She is also responsible for creating and updating curriculum. She re-engineered WAAW wind energy kit. She is a graduate of MASHAV Israel and where she completed an international professional course on STEM. Lucy is an advocate for STEM education and the Girl-Child. She is involved in inspiring and motivating youth especially the young Adolescent girls.


Vanessa Oguamanam

Technical Project Manager

Vanessa holds a Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD). Prior to joining WAAW Foundation, she received her B.S in Computer Science from UMD. She recently interned at Google as a UX Researcher. Additionally, she has also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Boeing for two summers. She specializes in Programming, Mobile/Web Development, User Experience, UX Research, Design, Crafting, and Maker-spaces. Vanessa is passionate about empowering women and helping to support the advancement of underrepresented minorities in the tech field.


 

Jonah Onah

Software Developer – Volunteer

Jonah is a freelance frontend developer and a graduate of B. Agric soil science from the university of Agriculture, Makurdi. He is the founder of Xando Nigeria – a company he started in January 2016 that seeks to improve the business culture and tech adoption in central Nigeria through trainings and venture buildings.His passion for technology drove him into taking roles in Fintech, Management consulting and research. Jonah has served as project manager at Simplepay, a payment solutions company with a merchant base of over 6,000 merchants. He had also served as a research assistant and ICT supervisor in Fortis projects and absolute consultancy. He loves to learn new technology, singing and travelling.


Dapo Ajuwon

Software developer and engineer

Adedapo has a B.Sc in Physics and four years’ experience in design, development and debugging, with a working knowledge of PHP, CSS, HTML5, Javascript, CMS(Drupal 7&8 and WordPress), MYSQL, Laravel framework, Jquery, Bootstrap 3 and version control system Git). Dapo Ajuwon is a co-founder of Druphub and  and bootcamp facilitator at WAAW foundation,  with 4 years’ experience as a full stack software engineer. He has been able to personally train and mentor over 80 software developers, using web both online and offline. He is a community builder, mentor and Co-organizer of Google developer group event in Ibadan. He is currently the CTO of 9jacribs, a property listing company in Nigeria.


FunkeOlufunke Oyedun

Software Developer – WAAW Technologies

Funke has two years of experience has a web developer, she has earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Application from the University of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in India, and a Master’s degree in Information Science from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. She is a graduate of WAAW Foundation’s She Hacks Africa Boot camp 2017, where she acquired more knowledge in web development. She has mentored over 10 application developer in the Andela Learning Community.  She joined WAAW Foundation in 2018 as a Software Developer and she is responsible for designing and developing software applications, product testing and maintenance, preparing training manuals and training software developers. She focuses on community development, and education, she loves using technology to solve and improve problems in her society.  


Obafemi Orunmbe

Program Manager Associate

ORUNMBE Obafemi Seth is a graduate of Kogi State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematical Sciences (Statistics). He is also a Graduate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) and holds a Proficiency Certificate in Management. Obafemi, an alumni of FATE School of Entrepreneurship (FATE Foundation), co-founded Rexson Farms and Agro Services; a Startup Agribusiness with the mandate of providing healthy animal protein.

He is a product of WAAW Foundation’s She Hacks Africa Coding Boot Camp. He is an Information Technology enthusiast with special interest in Programming & Web App Development, Networking and currently undergoing a study in Cloud Computing Technology.  Obafemi joined WAAW Foundation as a Program Manager for She Hacks Africa. He is passionate about giving back to his community and working towards making a positive impact through the use of technology.
